Lassi a popular tourist resort is approximately 30 minutes walk away From Argostoli. Lying a few kilometres from Argostoli, created and developed solely due to its amazing beaches, Lassi is the most established resort in Kefalonia.

Some of you will find Lassi rather too commercialised and lacking in charm as a resort, but Others will love it. It hosts a large variety of bars,tavernas,supermarkets,souvenir shops and car /bike rental facilities. So everything you may need should be close at hand.The resort has developed alongside the main road from minies into Argostoli, and its alongside this road where you will find most of the bars and tavernas.Some of the islands largest and Most luxurious hotels are to be found in Lassi, and a wide range of self-catering accommodation is available. If you go to Kefalonia on a last minute deal this is where you will probably stay.Do check the location of accommodation carefully as some involve a steep uphill climb and may not be suitable, for the older visitor or those with puschairs!

There is an attractive walk or drive from Lassi along the bottom coast road,passing by the Fanari Lighthouse.There are lots of places to stop in the shade and enjoy the views.This is often a good place to catch a glimpse of the large cruise ships visitng the port of Argostoli.If you take this road you will Approach Argostoli from the end nearest the Lixouri Ferry.
Lassi is popular with younger visitors looking for some nightlife, and young families.

The area does have two of the best beaches on the island- Makris and Platys Yialos,these are sandy and offer safe swimming for the kids,and a variety of watersports. In the height of the season these beaches may be overcrowded particulalrly as they are the closest for visitors staying in Argostoli.and are popular with the locals too.
